Welcome, and thank you for considering my practice as a source to help you meet your goals. This website contains important information about my professional services and business policies. I am happy to discuss any questions you have about this information during our first appointment.

Contacting Dr. Dybell
- My telephone is answered by voice mail when I am with a patient. I will make every effort to return your call within 24 hours, with the exception of evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- If you are unable to reach me and feel that you can’t wait for me to return your call, contact your family physician or the nearest emergency room and ask for the psychologist on call.
- Due to confidentiality and security matters, I do not communicate over e-mail. I also do not provide records over the Internet nor in an electronic file format of any kind.
Confidentiality
The law protects the privacy of communications between a patient and a psychologist. I can only release inforamtion about your treatment or that of your child to others when you sign a written authorization form.
Complete information about confidentiality and HIPAA is available in the New Patient packet which you will receive once your initial appointment is reserved.
Billing and Payments
You will be expected to pay for each appointment at the time it is held.
Personal checks, credit cards, and cash are accepted for your payments.
Insurance Reimbursement
You (not your insurance company) are responsible for full payment of my fees at the time of each session.
If you have a health insurance policy, it may or may not provide some coverage for mental health treatment.
- It is very important that you find out exactly what mental health services and types of evaluations your insurance policy covers, what referrals may be needed, any pre-existing limitation, and the profeeional credentials of an “approved” provide before we schedule appointments.
- “Managed Health Care” plans such as HMOs and PPOs often will not provide any insurance benefits (or only coverage at a reduced rate) when you work with providers who are not on their list of approved providers. I am not a member of any insturance panels. I do not participate in any insurance “networks.”
- You are required to pay in full at the time our work is performed, regardless of what your insurance may “cover.”
- Detailed receipts will be provided to you for each appointment. It will be up to you to provide them to your insurance carrier for reimbursement directly to you, the patient.
Office Environment
- My office is a quiet location.
- There are no office staff members available to watch your children in the waiting room while you and I are in session. It is your responsibility to make arrangements for child care when you will meet with me for the entire appointment. In this way, we can focus upon the matters at hand and your children can be well cared for by an adult you choose.
- You are welcome to remain in the waiting room while i am working with your child. In fact, during therapy sessions, your involvement is very important. during assessments, it is not typically necessary for you to remain in the waiting room while your child and I are working together. However, you are welcome to do so.
- The building is a no-smoking campus and free parking is available on all sides of the building.
